Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes how Dotbound (“the App”), developed and published by Arengg Works (“we”, “us”, or “our”), collects, uses, and shares information when you play the App on Android via Google Play.

By downloading or using Dotbound, you agree to this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

• Dotbound is a single-player puzzle game. No account or sign-in is required.
• Gameplay progress is stored primarily on your device.
• We use Google Firebase for analytics, crash/diagnostics support, cloud activity sync, and optional push notifications.
• The App will offer in-app purchases: the first 30 levels are free; the remaining 20 levels require a paid unlock.
• We do not sell your personal information.
• Payments are processed by Google Play Billing, not by us directly.

3. Information we collect

Depending on how you use the App and your device settings, we may collect:

3.1 Information stored on your device

• Game progress (completed levels, stars, attempts, play times, hint usage)
• Settings (for example, sound preferences and intro/tutorial flags)
• A locally generated device identifier used for activity sync (not your name or email)

3.2 Information sent to our services / Firebase

• Gameplay / usage analytics (for example: level started, completed, or abandoned; moves; stars; time spent; screen views) via Firebase Analytics
• User activity sync such as device ID, last played time, total play time, per-level completion stats, attempts, and hints taken (Firestore)
• Push notification token (FCM token) if notifications are enabled on your device, so we can send game-related messages
• Technical / diagnostic data typical of Firebase and Android (for example: app version, device model, OS version, language, and crash-related signals)

3.3 Information we do not intentionally collect

• Your name, postal address, or government ID
• Photos, contacts, microphone, or precise location
• Payment card numbers (handled by Google Play)

If you email us for support, we will receive whatever information you choose to include in that message (for example, your email address and message content).

4. In-app purchases

Dotbound includes (or will include) in-app purchases through Google Play:

• 30 free levels are available without purchase.
• 20 additional levels may be unlocked with a paid in-app purchase.

Purchase transactions are processed by Google Play Billing. We do not receive or store your full payment card details. Google may share limited purchase status with the App (for example, whether a product was bought) so we can unlock content and restore purchases.

5. How we use information

• Operate and improve Dotbound (balance, bugs, features)
• Understand how levels are played and where players get stuck
• Sync limited activity data for product insights and support
• Deliver optional notifications about the App
• Unlock and restore paid content after purchase
• Respond to support requests you send us
• Comply with legal obligations where applicable

6. How we share information

We share information only as needed to run the App:

• Google / Firebase / Google Play — analytics, messaging, cloud storage, and billing infrastructure. Their use of data is also covered by Google’s privacy policies.
• Legal / safety — if required by law, regulation, or to protect rights, safety, and integrity of users or the App.

We do not sell personal information and do not share it for third-party advertising networks in the App at this time.

If advertising is added later, this Privacy Policy will be updated before those features begin collecting or sharing additional data.

7. Data retention

• On-device progress remains until you clear app data or uninstall the App.
• Cloud activity and analytics data may be retained for as long as reasonably needed for the purposes above, then deleted or anonymized.
• You can request deletion of cloud-associated activity data by emailing us (include your device/app context if possible so we can locate records).

8. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures appropriate for a mobile game (including Google/Firebase infrastructure). No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.

9. Children’s privacy

Dotbound is a casual puzzle game and is not directed at children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, contact rishabhmatharoo11@gmail.com and we will take reasonable steps to delete it.

10. Your choices

• Disable or limit notifications in your device settings.
• Limit analytics where available through Android / Google account settings.
• Clear app storage or uninstall the App to remove local progress.
• Manage or cancel subscriptions/purchases through Google Play (if applicable).
• Contact us to ask questions or request access/deletion of data we control.

11. International processing

Information processed by Google Firebase / Google Play may be stored or processed in data centers outside your country of residence. By using the App, you understand that such processing may occur subject to applicable law and Google’s terms.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Effective date” at the top will be revised when changes are posted. Continued use of the App after an update means you accept the revised policy.
